# Error uploading images, permissions appear okay

When creating a **Item** and I try to select a **File Document or Attachment** I get **“No items found”** in the Media Library (There are many actually there).

When I try to upload an image I get

**"Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/sites/16/tainacan-items/141/493. Is its parent directory writable by the server?** ”

The permissions on the folders are:

I have removed every unused plugin and theme from the system to no avail. Is this a bug in the new to Tainacan 1.01 or I am I missing something?

This is expected. The media gallery that you are opening is filtered by the files uploaded and attached to the current item. That is due to how private items are stored (explained in more details [here](https://tainacan.github.io/tainacan-wiki/#/files-upload-and-edition)).

However the issue that you are facing when trying to upload items is a common case of folders permission as you suspected. Are you able to upload things directly to your WordPress media library (outside Tainacan)?

And by looking into your folder structure that is a bit uncanny for me. Is this a multisite instalation?
