I am trying to make the appearance of match the rest of our museum but am finding it difficult to locate where i can make the adjustments. can you assist please?
Institute of Education - Museum of Brutalist Architecture is a draft item which we want to be able to adjust the visual appearance to match the rest of the site. How can we control the appearance please or even better if we can use one our themes Albums to be able to add the Gutenberg metadate into. This is a mock up of what we would really like to see. BARBICAN CENTRE - Museum of Brutalist Architecture
we are happy with the general appearance of the facets page: CATALOGUE - Museum of Brutalist Architecture
Also when we try to add images as attachments the setting does not seem to allow images just documents, unless we upload. we cant seem to access our media library in the normal way
Thank you for your assistance
Hi @URBANLEARNERS, welcome to the Tainacan community!
I tried accessing the first two links you mentioned, but at the moment they seem to be returning an error page, so I’m not able to see exactly how the item page is currently being displayed or compare it with the layout you would like to achieve.
Could you please check whether these pages are currently working on your side? If possible, it would also help if you could share a screenshot of:
- how the Tainacan item page is currently appearing;
- the layout you would like to reproduce;
- and what happens when you try to select an existing image from the WordPress Media Library as an attachment.
Regarding the visual customization: it is possible to make a WordPress theme or template compatible with Tainacan, but the best approach depends on how much customization you need.
So, before suggesting the best path, it would be helpful for us to understand a little more about your current setup:
- Which WordPress theme are you using?
- Is “Albums” a template from your current theme or something you created yourself?
- Are you comfortable editing the theme code, or are you looking for a solution using only Gutenberg blocks?
Once we can see the examples and understand your setup a little better, we can point you in the right direction.
