Error 404 in any seach made by main SEARCH bar

Hi, i have a problem with search engine in my repository (https://cyfrowy.majdanek.eu/). Any seach made by main search bar on the site, returns Error 404 (try "for example search for “baraki” or “Zelent”). But if you seach for the same in advanced search (https://cyfrowy.majdanek.eu/filtry-i-wyszukiwanie/), it gives results properly. I’ve tried to clear “custom CSS”, the only place with my own code, but it doesn’t take any effect. It’s strange to me and I can’t understand - are main seach and adv. search use different engines, or what?

Hi @Michal_Stanek!

That is indeed weird. Can I ask, in the settings of your home page, when you inserted that Search Bar component, to which of these collections did you set it up to go?

https://cyfrowy.majdanek.eu/collections/

Because from its URL, it seems to be redirecting to this address:

https://cyfrowy.majdanek.eu/obiekty

Which appear to not exist. My initial guess is that this link use to belong to one collection that either does not exists anymore or had its name/slug changed. If that is the case, can you try removing the search bar block and insert it again?

I can also see the Advanced Search link that you created is going to this page:

https://cyfrowy.majdanek.eu/filtry-i-wyszukiwanie/

Which you seem to have created it manually, using the faceted search block. That is ok, but I would also remind you that you can use one of the pre-existing collection pages. Adding a search parameter in them will lead to same place that the search bar block leads.

Ok. I found and fixed the error. It was caused by translation work, specifically a temporary change in the slug-string translation “items” to “towary” instead of the correct “objekty”. The server cache also contributed to this. But thanks to your suggestions, we managed to salvage the situation.
