Hi apologies if this is really obvious I’m trying to understand if it’s possible to customise these headings: I think this phrasing would be confusing to my users but I think it may be impossible to change it.

Yes, you can change those. If you go to “Appearence” → “Customize” → “Tainacan item page” → “Item document and attachments”. You’ll see a section related to labels:
Here we’re editing the “Document”, but if you go one level up you shall see options for the Metadata Sections.
This affects all public item pages, from every collection. There is also the possibility of tweaking this labels on the admin side by editing either the Collection form or the Metadata Section name. The Default Metadata Section is named simply “Metadata”, but you can edit it to anything else like, “Information” and even create other metadata sections to organize your metadata in the Collection Metadata screen.
