I have a question. My team is working with a compound metadata, and it’s right, but I’d like to know if it’s possible to add an option to ‘Selectbox’ allowing multiple values, because at this moment this isn’t possible. Just accept unique values.

Unfortunately, that is a limitation/restriction, not of the Select type itself but of Compound metadata. If a Compound if multiple, it’s children cannot be multiple.
For your situation in particular, the way people usually do is to create a separate collection for Authorship, and then set a Relationship-type metadata to items from that collection. You can configure the Relationship metadata to display more information from the relation than just the title, thus displaying also the year. You can even allow item creation from a modal directly from the other item form.
I know it can complicate things a bit from the data view side but its the best way we have to deal with this so far.
