I have a uestion regarding filter of taxonomy meta data when more than one option is selected.
When I apply the filter and tick two check boxes items included in any of the two categories are kept in the displayed list.
Is there a way where we can enforce keeping items belonging to BOTH the checked boxes categories?
In case there isnt can you explain to me please the logic behind this design of the filter?

Yes, you are correct.
To summarize, filters from different metadata will always be “AND”, and filters within the same metadata will be “OR”. We do have plans to add an option to switch this behavior, would be a really nice feature! The main reason why this works like this is because the facets (the possible filter values) tend to only appear when clicking on them would result in a valid result. You can achieve the “AND” only value by using the Advanced Search, if I am not wrong… We’re actually working on a redesign of the Advanced Search component because it has some weird behavior to be honest
