Hi, I’m currently working on implementing “T” for the holocaust museum in Poland (www.cyfrowy-majdanek.eu). I’ve noticed that copying the address of the object after clicking the chain icon in the “Share” group doesn’t work. You can check this on any digital object on the page. Interestingly, the function WORKS on the main page - but ONLY there. Please help me solve the problem, it’s probably the only flaw in the entire project.
By the way, I don’t have time to play around with sharing my translation into Polish on wordpress.org, but if the Tainacan webmasters wanted to share, I can provide ready files with a complete translation.
I’ve been trying to replicate this but could not find the same issue. However I’m not able to open your link, for some reason it ends up in a ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED message in my browser
Can you check if the link is correct?
As for translations, sure! I can try to get in touch with the Polish team to see if there is anyone interested on pushing the work. Can you share your translation files with us?
Sorry you had to wait so long for an answer - I’m on vacation. Of course I’ve made stupid mistake - correct address is www.cyfrowy.majdanek.eu (with point, not dash). So please try once again.
I’ll share files with translation after August 18th, when I go back to work.
Hahhaah finally. The archive seems really impressive, I’m glad to see people working in projects like this with Tainacan!
As for the “Copy link”, I was finally able to understand the cause of the error. It should happen only in the item page sharer icons. I’ll take a look in the next days to make a fix and release it!
Meanwhile, if you are in a hurry to have something similar working on, try going to the “Appearence” → “Customizer” → “Tainacan Item Page” → “Items page elements and layout” → and enable the “Display related collection header”. That header offers a sharing button that is working and hides the buggy sharing button from the metadata. It may be ideally what you are looking for in terms of layout but solves by now.
