Icon font missing

Hello friends -

I wonder if anyone has had this error before? There seems to be a strange text overlay in the front end of my site. I’m not having this issue with mobile or in Firefox (I’m logged in), but others are reporting it in desktop across Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Looks like a front-end HTML thing? My site is www.theclockworks.org/collection-online and other than this issue we think it’s looking great - thank you so much Tainacan!

Hi @ktamb, welcome to our forum!

This happens when our icon font is not being found. We changed the way it is loaded in 1.0.0 to reduce unecessary enqueues. In this case the might be missing for you is updating the Tainacan Support for Blocksy plugin. Can you see if that solves? Also don’t forget to clear your server and browser cache once it’s done.

@ktamb, If you navigate “https://theclockworks.org/collection-online” , your browser can’t try to solve the “missed” “www” and the path to find arrow icons are completed. The text supperposed is a part of arrrow icons path. This text appears because the correct URL does not have “www.” portion. When you navigate with mobile devices, the “www.” prefix by default isn’t added.

By the way, the clocks look amazing!

Thanks so much for the reply - I’m all up to date with everything, so I don’t think this is the problem, sadly.

Thanks! I think that was indeed the issue - I had never realised there was no www in our address! I will see if I can set up a redirect from www.theclockworks.org to theclockworks.org and hopefully that will solve the problem. And glad you like it
